Perseverance

Keep going. Karate takes years to master and it will not happen overnight. WSKF teaches students to be patient, to meet each new challenge and not to give up.

01At WSKF

It won’t happen overnight

Each new belt brings a whole new set of challenges and skills to learn, and many of those skills take years to master.

Students are continually learning new things. Perseverance is what carries them from one challenge to the next.

02In training

The long road

Four stages every student returns to, again and again.

  1. Stage 01

    Start

Every student begins with the basics, taught step by step.

  2. Stage 02

    Repeat

Techniques are practised again and again, and students are taught not to be lazy.

  3. Stage 03

    Grade

The belt system breaks a long journey into smaller goals, reached one at a time. Each new belt brings new challenges.

  4. Stage 04

    Keep going

Mastery takes years. The lesson is to keep going: to overcome each new challenge and not to give up.

03What it builds

The results of your own hard work.

Moving through the grades lets students see the results of their own hard work.

WSKF values patience, persistence and determination.
