Karate is a long game. With each new belt comes a whole new set of challenges and skills to learn, and many of those skills cannot be learned overnight. They take many years to master.

Next belt. Next rank. New skills.

01The long game

Years, not overnight.

Students are continually learning new things. Staying with something difficult for long enough to get it right is the mental side of the training.

The belt system breaks a long journey into smaller goals. Each new belt brings new challenges, so there is always a next step, and students see the results of their own hard work as they reach each one.
