The service
Movement built for the edit, not the mirror.
Choreography for camera is a different job. What reads in a studio mirror can die in a wide shot, and what looks strange from the front is sometimes the frame the whole video gets cut around.
The work covers lead and featured performance, original choreography, and building a dance team for the piece. Contemporary, classical and commercial, chosen for what the track is doing rather than what happens to be trending.
Concerts and television are their own problem again. Longer, less forgiving, and rehearsed to survive a schedule that will slip.
Why Maneesha
Movement that serves the song, not the showreel.
-
01
Directed
Choreography is built to the shot list and the track, so it cuts together instead of needing rescuing in the edit.
-
02
Prepared
Teams are cast and rehearsed before the day. Shoot days are expensive and should not be spent teaching.
-
03
Present
Leading or featured, the job is to hold the frame. That is the part nobody can be taught at the last minute.
Four easy steps
From treatment to final take.
-
Step 01
Enquire
Tell us the project, the track and the dates. A treatment or a reference helps.
-
Step 02
Discuss
A call to work out the role, the team size and what the shoot or the stage needs.
-
Step 03
Confirm
Casting, rehearsal schedule and a clear price.
-
Step 04
Shoot it
Rehearsed, blocked and ready before the camera rolls.
In their words
She understood the track before we had finished explaining it, and the choreography ended up shaping how we shot the whole thing.
The team arrived rehearsed and ready. We got through the shot list half a day early.
Featured her in the video and she carried every frame she was in.
Live television, one take, no room for error. Completely safe hands.
