Training Terms & Conditions

How we charge for onsite training, how a booking is confirmed, what your organisation provides on the day, and what applies if a course is cancelled or rescheduled.

Draft for review. This wording is awaiting final confirmation and is not yet in effect.

We charge by the day

Driver Training Australia offers a single, all-inclusive course fee to have your training delivered on-site anywhere in Australia*. We charge per-instructor per-day.

Your investment includes:

  • All labour
  • Travel
  • Accommodation
  • Ground transport
  • Student materials
  • Any incidentals

There are no additional or hidden costs. The second and any consecutive days of training, at the same venue, often come at a discounted rate.

Payment and booking confirmation

No course or service can be confirmed until full payment has been received at least 32 days prior to the proposed course date.

  1. Quote or invoice

After receiving our fixed-price quote or invoice, please provide an approved purchase order or full payment by direct debit.

  2. Full payment

Payment must be received no less than 32 days prior to the first day of the proposed training.

  3. Written confirmation

Once payment has been received, the training will be confirmed in writing.

A purchase order does not confirm a proposed training date. Only payment in full triggers a written course confirmation.

What your organisation provides

On the day of training, please provide:

  • A training room with standard training equipment, including a data projector or large-screen TV, a large whiteboard, and space for activities.
  • Morning tea and a light (cold) lunch.
  • One large 4-door, automatic, passenger sedan for each four participants. These are required for the practical training components.

Requirements for Workplace 4WD training, Alpine & Snow Driving, Ecodrive and other services are confirmed with you before booking.

Remote Location Tariff

Some remote locations such as Port Moresby, Mt Isa, Kalgoorlie, Cobar, Broken Hill and a few others require additional travel time and expense. Training at these locations will incur a Remote Location Tariff (RLT).

The tariff will depend on individual circumstances. Please ask if the Remote Location Tariff applies in your circumstances.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Any time after written confirmation, a course may be cancelled or rescheduled. The following cancellation penalties may apply.

Potential cancellation penalty, as a percentage of the paid invoice
Notice given before the confirmed course datePenalty
More than 30 clear days25%
More than 15 days, but less than 30 clear days50%
Less than 14 clear days100%

This cancellation policy applies to all courses and services, including any course that is subsequently rescheduled.

Where a cancelled course is to be rescheduled, the balance paid will be carried forward, and a new invoice will be produced to restore the full course fee. The new invoice will be forwarded for payment.

All amounts carried forward or credited and not redeemed within 18 months of the original cancelled course date will be forfeited.
